The Copper Country News now has a web site
"There should be a Globe High School Alumni Association." That was the sentiment expressed at a meeting, earlier this year, of 14 GHS alumni, spanning the classes of 1948 through 1969.
The next step is coming up. There will be a meeting on May 24, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Guayo's on the Trail restaurant in Globe. Anyone who ever attended GHS (or who is currently attending) is invited to this Dutch Treat lunch and organizational meeting.
In just six years, the high school will celebrate its centennial, and an alumni association would be helpful in commemorating this event. The organizers also hope that this organization will help to facilitate communication among alums and will become a great booster of Globe High School.

The Tiger Den Alumni Web Site is for Globe High School alumni anywhere in the world. As such, it is dedicated to all students and faculty members from Globe High School, in Globe, Arizona -- past, present, and future -- in what I hope is a lasting and memorable contribution to the spirit and honor of Globe High School. The greatest challenge when organizing a reunion is contacting former classmates. People move and lose contact with friends, addresses and phone numbers are either lost or misplaced. Before long you wonder, "What ever happened to ...?"
Though you and I and other classmates may move around, a great thing about the Internet is that a website remains available to everyone everywhere. I encourage you to use this website to maintain contact with your GHS classmates. Drop me a line -- via regular mail, E-mail, Classmates.com, or The Tiger Den message board and I will do my best to put you in contact with your classmates.
I encourage alumni and visitors to contribute to the GHS Alumni Scholarship Fund, which assists deserving students obtain their higher education.
